A perfect jewelry gift for the woman who loves horses, the PONIES OVER THE MOON handmade necklace is filled with earthy whimsical fun. The one of a kind beauty features an artisan two-sided pewter horses pendant, brown zebra jasper, glowing brown freshwater pearls and sterling silver. Artisan designed and hand cast in fine pewter, the pendant is lead and cadmium free. The fanciful design spotlights two horses (possibly appaloosas due to their “spots”) leaping over the moon next to stars with mountains in the lower background. Darkly oxidized, the pendant was hand polished to bring out the wonderful details, glowing like antique heirloom silver.. To add even more fanciful vibes, the back is engraved with “my ponies jumped over the moon.” A pewter bail secures the pendant to the main body of the necklace.
Perfectly highlighting the horse pendant are earthy brown zebra jasper rounds and brown freshwater pearls. Brown zebra jasper is a less common color form of the more prevalent black and white zebra jasper. The striking gemstone has mostly dark brown stripes and dots against light tan, each stone different. Three groups of zebra jasper are found on both sides of the pendant, separated by brown freshwater pearls and small sterling beads. The pearls have an amazing shimmer, some throwing off hints of burgundy. Small sterling silver beads separate each grouping of three pearls. A sleek sterling silver toggle clasp set perfectly finishes the unique necklace.
