Filled with deep spiritual meaning, the THANKFUL handmade necklace is a wonderful jewelry gift for a loved one. Featuring an artisan made woman giving thanks pewter pendant, it also has large faceted golden obsidian nuggets and sterling silver. The thankful pendant was individually artisan hand cast from Britannia pewter (a lead free pewter developed in the mid-1700’s in Britain) from an original design. The design is joyous: a woman with arms raised to the heavens in gratitude and love with rays of light emanating from around her, thankful for all the ways life’s experiences have helped her grow. The pendant was lightly patinated to bring out the recessed details then polished to mirror-like glow. With its amazing luster and wonderful hand feel, the Briannia pewter pendant could be mistaken for sterling silver. The back side of the pendant is smooth and is stamped with the artist’s maker’s mark. A heavy duty sterling silver jump ring securely fastens the pendant to the main body of the necklace.
Perfectly highlighting the pendant are faceted golden obsidian (also gold golden sheen obsidian) nuggets and sterling silver beds. A naturally occurring volcanic glass, the jet black gemstones glimmer a silky light golden or grayish sheen when exposed to bright light. The facets sparkle every time the stones move, representing the rays of light in the pendant. Since the gemstones are nuggets, each stone is a bit different in size and shape with the larger stones found in the front and the smaller at the back. A textured sterling hook clasp set finishes the amazing necklace. Golden obsidian is said to help in self-reflective meditation, internal growth and self-understanding. The THANKFUL artisan necklace was carefully designed and handmade in a dog friendly, smoke free studio. The necklace will come with two informational drop tags: one with the piece's name; the other lists the materials used in the necklace and the language of the stones and metals. It will be carefully packed in an organza jewelry bag, perfect for gift giving to a loved one . . . or to yourself!
