Fun jewelry for Valentine’s Day, the one of a kind CORAZONES ROSADOS earrings can also be worn all year long! A perfect handmade gift for the woman who adores unique boho designs, the earrings feature artisan dotted lavender pink hearts on green enamel dangles, mega-sparkle Swarovski crystals, copper and sterling silver. The delightful charms started out as copper blanks with the addition of a shaded green enameled background. Cheerful lavender pink hearts with black spots and radiating black lines were hand painted, each a bit different from the other. The back side was coated with black enamel. For strength and durability, the charms were kiln fired at very high heat to fuse everything together. They have a very glossy, reflective finish (you can see reflections in some photos). ***Please note: Even though the heart charms are very durable, they are basically glass fused to copper - if dropped on a hard surface, the glass could chip.
To perfectly complement the colors of the heart charms, faceted round Swarovski crystals were added. The crystals are called “medium vitrail” due to a special coating on half of the crystal. The coating causes a shifting of color on the crystals between gold, silver, green, pink, purple, aqua and other colors, all depending on the angle of the light. Be sure to look at all the photos to see this wondrous effect! A copper disc spacer and a 3 mm copper bead sits on top of each crystal. Sterling silver French hook earwires with copper bead accents finish the amazing earrings. Carefully designed and handmade by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs, the lightweight to wear CORAZONES ROSADOS earrings were created for the woman who loves one of a kind jewelry designs with a definite boho flair! “Corazones rosados” is Spanish for “pink hearts.”
