Autumn Oranges and Browns - Wonderful Handmade Wednesday on Indiemade

Even though the temperatures are still getting in the upper-80's to mid-90's here in the Borderlands region, the nights are dropping down into the mid-60's at night.  Autumn is definitely in the air!  I have noticed some of the leaves on some of the bushy sumac trees are beginning to turn.  Due to lack of rain or the shorter days?  Probably both.  But it is nice to see the slide into my favorite time of the year.

Late Summer/early Autumn is

Late Summer/early Autumn is probably my second favorite time of year... yesterday as I was out with the dogs, it felt like September for a little while. But I'd like summer to stay around a bit longer.

Actually, I like every season of the yearr, Donna, but autumn is a favorite because the high temperatures are blown out and we get those cooler breezes. Of course, winter here is next to nothing. Many thanks for stopping by and commenting!

for including my shop in your early fall selections. We've been camping at lower elevations to hang onto a bit of summer. We sometimes go up into the mountains of New Mexico to see the glorious golden of the aspens, Pamela. Unfortunately, our mountains here don't have many large trees since it is a desert, but the trees along the river and the bushy sumacs give us a blast of color. Thank you for stopping by!

Yes, I remember when we lived in Canada and Virginia that autumn was sometimes very fleeting . . . and sometimes without much color. Glad to include your earrings, Gloria.
