Indian Head Coin Earrings, Antique Penny Turquoise Handmade Jewelry

Created from authentic Indian Head copper coins from over 100 years ago, the one of a kind PRETTY PENNIES earrings are perfect for the woman who collects coins, who wants to own a bit of numismatic history or just loves unique handmade jewelry! The fun earrings feature antique, two sided Indian Head pennies (also called an Indian Head cent), both dated 1907. A left-facing silhouette wearing a feather headdress is on the front side. The reverse has the words “one cent” surrounded by a laurel wreath. A rich reddish copper color, the coins were lightly polished to bring out the fabulous raised detailing on both the front and the back. There is some slight wear on the pennies, not unusual for coins that date from that far back.
To add an unexpected pop of rich color, a genuine turquoise disc and two coral Czech glass discs are stacked above each penny. The turquoise discs are a dark blue color with natural black matric. The two Czech discs are a reddish orange color and have a slight silver metallic wash that causes them to shimmer in the light. Copper daisy spacers separate the turquoise from the glass discs. Sterling silver French hook earwires with copper bead accents finishes the earrings perfectly. Carefully designed and handmade by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs, the PRETTY PENNIES earrings were created for the woman who loves to wear unique artisan handmade jewelry with a historical bent.
